Anti-Bullying Campaign

Summary
This advetisement shows one larger boy bullying another smaller boy. The main subject matter of this advertisment is to make a stop to bullying as it is petrifying and no one would want to feel like they are under pressure by someone else twenty-four seven. The colours that i have chosen seem to be serious (red, it is bright and out there making the main focus point the people inside the red stop sign). I think that this advertisement will be fairly effective as it will reach the eye of childeren, this is because it is a cartoon figure, and it is bright and colourful.

This advertisement puts across a cold feeling because of the dark, grey sky, the man going for a surf in a protection suit and the rubbish all over the ground. The main purpose of this advertisement is it to show how to world could end out to be if we don’t change how we are acting now. The target audience would have to be directed to adults as children wouldn’t understand the full meaning. The creator of this advertisement would have chosen the particular graphic features as it portrays a cold sensation throughout the body and makes us humans really wonder. This advertisement does achieve its main purpose of trying to make the world a cleaner and better place for us to live in.

GO GREEN!

The main image of this advertisement is bright green and featuring a little frog as the main focus point. This advertisement focuses on the fact that recycling is very important to our world and we should increase recycling and reusing object and items that we can. The advertisement is mainly focused on the children of the 21st century as it is simple and child like. The creator has filled the page with little green recycle images and a large frog to catch the eye of children. “Go Green” means that the creator is encouraging to recycle, reduce the amount of plastics. The creator has chosen these simple words because once again it is targeted at a young age (children) and it is encouraging them to be eco friendly. Overall I truly think that this advertisement has reached

VOTE EARTH!!

This task shows to the world that you should vote for the earth, otherwise you will end up having a polluted and destroyed nation. This main purpose of this advertisement is to make awareness to the world that “your light switch is your vote”. This means that the people of the world that you should turn off your light switch to save the electricity. This advertisement is mainly focused to adults that are interested in the environment and educated; this is because if you put the sign in an uneducated country do you really think that they would understand what it means? The creator of this advertisement has chosen particular colours (green) to make the advertisement environmentally friendly, he/she has also used large arrows to bring the main focus to the centre of the advertisement. The creator has also used large bold print to make the words stand out as well as the image. There are not many language features in this advertisement as not many people would want to sand in front of a sign reading all the small print and not understand the meaning; it is more of a visual advertisement poster. Overall I do believe that this advertisement does achieve its true purpose as it had a strong centre, words are understandable and readable and it is in environmentally friendly colours.

The Real Cost of Posh’s Locks

Dear Editor,

Thankyou for taking the time to read this letter. To get my point across quickly, I am writing to you to say that your newspaper article on the 17th August 2006 is just attention seeking and brings the poor into perspective making everyone feel sorry for them.

Beauty is a woman’s ticket to success. Hair extensions are everything, who cares where they get them from, it is beneficial to all the fantastic hair salons that make large profits. Beauty does come at a price.

When a new fashion comes in such as ‘temple hair’ a celebrity must get it, otherwise they will be left out. Thankyou once again and I hope you understand and make a change.

The Real Cost of Posh’s Locks

Dear Editor,

Thankyou for taking the time to read this letter. The main reason that I am writing to you is that I agree with your article about the cost of hair extensions and where they come from, and it should definitely stop. Yes, beauty makes a woman feel self confident and beautiful though there are other ways in which they can do this.

Beauty is a major key to success for celebrities, in the Courier Mail on the 17th August 2006 it states that ‘Victoria Beckham pushed her glossy fingernails through her hair…..it seemed as if she was going bald.’ The latest fads ‘hair extensions’ which Victoria Beckham was wearing had made her hit the front headlines of the newspaper. ‘The time that it takes for a footballers wife to have human hair extensions, in Northern India thousands of women will be diverting themselves of their crowning glory.

Who knows where we get human hair extensions from? In Northern India thousands of women wait patiently to get their hair shaved off with a dry razor. These women think getting their hair shaved off is good, and it will bring good luck to their family, though they are wrong. The temple women are being cheated into a scam, they do not get told that their own hair is being sold all around the world and being made into hair extensions. They don’t even get any profit from their hair. The top hair salons buy this hair really cheat and sell it for a large amount, they like the smell of profit under their belts.

Just imagine if you were these women, how would you feel. Truly everyone should make a stop to this and at least tell the women and give them some of the profit that is made out of their own hair. The world should stop lying to the poor and taking advantage of them. Think hard about what we have and what they have.

Thankyou once again

Emily
